Sony Ericsson TM506
Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone TM506 made history by being the first 3G cell phone carried by T-Mobile USA since it launched its 3G network in May. The TM506 is due to be available in early September 2008, with an expected price of less than $100 with contract.
Sony Ericsson T610 cell phone is quite a lightweight phone, measuring 3.7 x 1.8 x 0.7 inch and weighs 3.4 ounces. It has a 2.25-inch internal screen which is bright and colorful and support 262,000 colors.
The TM506 phone is able to store 1,000 contacts with room in each entry for seven phone numbers, an e-mail address, a URL, a job title, a company name, two street addresses, and notes. If that is not sufficient, the SIM card holds an additional 250 names and you can save your personal information to an electronic business card. You can further organize contacts into caller groups and pair them with different polyphonic and MP3 ringtones. On top of that, you can save a photo to your contacts as well, but, due to the display limitation, it won’t show up on display when the contact calls..
Other features that you would expect in a cell phone include vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, a speakerphone, alarm clock, a voice memo recorder, a timer, a stopwatch, task list, notepad and calculator, In additional to that, instant messaging, PC syncing, full Bluetooth with a stereo profile, a Bluetooth remote feature, voice dialing, USB mass storage, phone as modem capability, a file manager, and a code memo for storing passwords are also available.
Although Sony Ericsson TM506 is not a Walkman phone, it still comes with great musical functionality including playlists, shuffle and repeat modes, stereo widening, and an equalizer with Sony’s Mega Bass. Transferring of data and music file from other devices to the phone can be done via USB cable, Bluetooth, or a memory card.
Sony Ericsson TM506 supports three GSM bands (850/1800/1900) and it has a talk time of 9.5 hours talk time and 10.4 days standby time.
