Sony Ericsson C902i Launched in UAE
Sony Ericsson C902i was released today in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), one of the richest countries in the world. The latest Cyber-shot candybar phone is offered exclusively by Axiom Telecom, a leading mobile retailer from the Middle East.
The Sony Ericsson C902i is available in all the 113 Axiom locations across the country, but, the pricing of the cell phone was not mentioned by the retailer.
Coming in a 10.5 millimeter thin case, Sony Ericsson C902i packs the following features: an auto focus 5 Megapixel camera, flash, sliding lens cover, image stabilizer, dedicated touch-sensitive keys and video recording, a 2 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 256K colors, Music player, FM radio, NetFront browser, email, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GSM and HSDPA connectivity and so on.
The UAE has a population of about 4.5 million and with more than 7 million cell phones in use, the mobile penetration rate is slightly over 150%. As Axiom is selling the new C902i unlocked, it will most probably work with the network of both existing mobile carriers, Etisalat and du.
After the C902i, Axiom Telecom will also bring in the lower end C702i Cyber-shot phone which only has a 3.2 Megapixel camera, but its advantage is that it’s dust and splash resistant.
