Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset

The design of model HBH-DS970, a Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset, break away from what you would have expected of a Bluetooth headset, that is, without any wires or cords. This Sony Ericsson headset comes with a thick but soft wires cable which extends from the tiny headset control unit and connects to the two earpieces. You put on the headset by wearing it around your neck with the control unit hanging against your chest, like a pendant.

Though putting on the headset look awkward initially with the cable, it is a much of getting used to it. The length of the cables can be adjusted accordingly till you are comfortable with and the earpieces fit nicely.

The black-and-orange control unit of the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset, measuring 2.9 inch long and weighs 27g, has a small LCD that displays the headset’s battery life, volume level, Bluetooth connection status and others information depending on the usage. For example, it supports caller ID on incoming call and when playing music, it will show the name of the track in played. In addition to the LCD display, the control unit has several controls that are clearly labeled and easy to operate, including the volume, track selection, mode select and power button.

The power button is located on the top end of the control unit and the mode selection switch that toggles between single and multi-device modes is on the right spine, just directly below the volume rocker. On the left spine of the control unit, you can find the toggle switch for changing music track in play. If you want to play or pause the music, you can find the button on the front face of the control unit.

Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset also includes a helpful bright backlight that beam up the LCD display, so, in any dim or darker environment, you will not have any problem locating the control buttons at all.

The call handling button of this Sony Ericsson headset is located just below the left earpiece and the microphone rests just below the right earpiece. The headset features adaptive frequency hopping for minimizing interference and digital audio processing which helps to enhance the audio quality and performance. Calls made are clear and loud and when listening to music, the quality is excellent as well.
