Sony Ericsson K790a

The K790a, the first Cybershot cell phone from Sony Ericsson, is a little bit bigger and thicker than its predecessor, the Sony Ericsson k750i.

Sony Ericsson K790a cell phone features a large screen, responsive and tactile keypad with a sleek and stylish dual front phone design. It comes with video and image stabilizer functionality, a 2 inch 240×320 LCD screen and the standard Cyber-shot user interface. Also included is the Adobe picture/video PC software, a 3.2 megapixel camera with a whopping 16x digital zoom. With new PictBridge technology included, a feature that allows transferring of images information directly to printer using a USB cable, user can now print the pictures directly from the printer without the involvement of the PC.

The K790a mobile phone model also has great music entertainment features like music player, video player and FM radio. It supports music format of MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ playback. The internal memory is 64MB which can further be expanded through the use of Memory Stick Micro.

Sony Ericsson K790a supports Bluetooth 2.0 and HTML full browser with RSS readers, which enable user to surf web faster and easier. It also has USB 2 Mass storage and also an external antenna connector. Similar to the K800 model, the K790a has the “flight mode” technology, which mean user can listen to music in airline without turning on the phone.

Through the EDGE technology incorporated in the cell phone, the K790a offers easy moblogging that lets user upload pictures directly to blog or email pictures taken. It supports POP and IMAP. Other features of the Sony Ericsson K790i includes 3D games, organizer functions like the alarm, notepad, calculator and phonebook that can holds 1000 entries, MMS message, basic editing application for photo, music and video,. It is also capable of running Java applications like the Google Maps and others.

As the K790a is only a tri-band GSM phone, it does not support 3G connectivity. The K790a has a talk time of seven hours and standby time of 14 days.
